I don't really remember the exact day Zyra started — there wasn't one big moment. It was more like a feeling that kept coming back. Late nights scrolling through Pinterest, saving pictures of clothes I somehow knew didn't exist in any store near me. Pieces that felt rich and considered, like someone had actually thought about them. I kept wondering why that feeling was so hard to find off a hanger.

But if I'm honest, it goes back further than Pinterest. It goes back to being a kid, tagging along with my mother to the market — not really to shop, but to pick fabric, point at swatches, sketch something on the spot and have it made right there. I didn't know it then, but that's probably where all of this actually started. She's been there through building Zyra too, quietly, without any title for it — and somewhere in all of this, it's for her as much as it is for anyone who wears it.

Zyra is both of those things, held together. It's rich — in colour, in culture, in the kind of detail you only notice up close. It doesn't try to be one thing; it's minimal when it needs to be, and more when it wants to be, because that felt more honest than picking a lane.
